What is Clean Beauty?
Clean beauty products are made with safe additives that won’t harm your health. In other words, toxic free ingredients that you confidently rub all over your body. Clean beauty products are free of paraben and synthetic fragrances.
You wouldn’t drink acid, so why put it on your face?
What are the benefits of clean beauty products?
Benefits of clean beauty include: no skin irritation, less damage to skin, they can help keep you healthy, and you’ll get great results from them.
They do not irritate the skin. A benefit of clean beauty is that it is perfect for all skin types, especially sensitive skin because there are less harmful ingredients, and it is easier on your skin. You can use these products with less worry, and let’s face it less worry equals better, clearer skin; with minimal wrinkles and blemishes.
There is less damage to your skin. Let’s face it we do not eat toxins, so why would we apply them to our face or body? Sure, it may be beneficial right now but in the long run it will cost you your beauty in the long run.
Healthy skin means a healthy you. Well, to be honest, the harmful ingredients in products not just affect your skin, but they destroy your body as well. These toxins can not only penetrate your skin, but could also affect all of your body. Using clean products will not only save your skin, but it will also protect your whole body from the damage of toxins.
In the end you’ll get great results using clean products. You must be wondering how they will work if they have no chemicals. Well, they do work and show excellent results as well. The results may be slow but they’ll be beneficial. Try them out and see the difference yourself.
Why is it important?
Is clean beauty important? In my honest opinion…..YES!!! Clean beauty products like Beautycounter are vital to help you clean your face and body without harsh chemicals.
You need to be just as careful about what you put on your skin as what you eat and drink. There have been numerous studies that have confirmed that products used topically on the skin penetrate into the bloodstream and affect your body.
Chemicals known to cause cancer including parabens, palates, formaldehyde, lead and more have the backing of the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) to be used in products we use on ourselves and our families everyday. Beautycounter has a NEVER LIST with ingredients you won’t see in their products. The very product that is intended to clean and beautify you can make you toxic and actually harm your health.
There is no wonder that research shows that 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer and 1 in 3 women. There is also an increase in asthma, ADD/ADHD, allergies and autism on the rise as well. Although you cannot peg the escalating incidence of serious health issues to any one thing, there is research that indicates toxic chemicals do play a role.
Exposure to environmental toxins happens through our physical environment (houses, workplaces, schools, and parks); food and water; and our cleaning products, our furniture, and our cosmetics. So, if you can lessen your chance of coming in contact with toxins, why wouldn’t you take it?
Does it matter, what does it mean?
Countries other than the United States including some European countries and Canada have stricter regulations in regards to chemicals allowed in beauty products. Beautycounter and several other companies are making clean, non-toxic products and have banned more than 1,400 ingredients in the United States.
Clean beauty matters because a single exposure is unlikely to cause serious harm, but over time, small doses add up. The lipstick we wear, the food we eat, and the soap we use often contain harmful ingredients that enter our bodies, hide away in our bones or fat, and build up over time. To make matters even more complicated, some chemicals can be more harmful in combination with other chemicals. The impacts of these chemicals may not be apparent for years, but eventually they’ll rear their ugly heads.
If you are wondering how you can see what harmful chemicals are in your products, you can visit the environmental working group website. The EWG created the Skin Deep Database that includes information on more than 61,000 products and rates them for safety.
